    Mystic Beach Sunset

    $135.00$480.00

Mystic Beach is a popular hike to see the waterfall and enjoy the scenic views. The trail is actually part of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail so is fairly well maintained. On the walk to the beach you descend numerous stairs, but the hike is worth it. Taking photos of sunsets means hiking out in the dark wilderness!

A Good Day For Ice Cream

    $85.00$595.00

The shape of this thickly padded rock near the edge of a cliff at Mt. Wells Regional Park made me think of an ice cream cone. The forests here are often messy in their natural state, so it’s nice when you can rest your eye on a simple shape.

    Big Ol’ Barn

    $85.00$505.00

This big old barn is a protected historical building in Burgoyne Bay Regional Park, Salt Spring Island. The park contains wooded Douglas-fir forests, threatened Garry oak trees, rocky shorelines, open grasslands, culturally significant sites (First Nation middens and gathering places), and a number of other old and historic farm buildings from the late 1800s and early 1900s. You will see this barn on the left as you drive along Burgoyne Bay Road. Park your car and enjoy a favourite island hike.

Triple falls is a beautiful waterfall located near Errington on Vancouver Island. On this particular day I was concentrating on small details surrounding the waterfall area.

    Avatar Grove

    $135.00$480.00

The Avatar Grove is managed by the Ancient Forest Alliance and improvements of boardwalks and stairs have greatly improved the experience. There are lower and upper groves to wander through, the lower descending to the Gordon River. The road is basic logging road and can be filled with pot holes. The wonders of standing amongst these old giants in a real wilderness setting is certainly a tranquil experience.
