Black-eyed Juncos are easy to identify for new birders. Those black heads. And pinkish beaks. And that even, musical trill. This one is an Oregon Junco. There’s a rare sub-species to keep an eye out for: the  Gray-headed Junco with a reddish-brown back. Last recorded sighting was in 1975 at the Little Qualicum River estuary.

My first memory of making art was when I was about four or five years old. I have been making art ever since.
