I am an acrylic artist specializing in “abstract realism”. My artwork reflects the landscape, nature and architecture of the west coast of Canada. As most of my life have been spent here starting in the Yukon, where I was born; Vancouver where I grew up and Vancouver Island where I currently live, I feel grateful to have such beautiful surroundings to inspire me.
“Mossy Forest” was inspired by the forests that surround Campbell River, including the incredible Elk Falls Park. The majestic trees covered with moss are a staple in the Vancouver Island landscape. You can feel the coolness of the greenery that reminds you of a walk in a forest. The sight of rotting logs and vegetation that sustains and maintains the forest life. Simply magical.
