Schooner Cove, Tofino

Schooner Cove Beach in Pacific Rim National Park is a magnificent site for artists. It has what I call “lots of architecture”, rocky shores and headlands overhung with Cedar and Hemlock and also craggy outcrops that spring from the golden sands and become islands at high tide. It’s easy to get to along the Schooner Cove Trail.

Originally from Newfoundland, I have been very fortunate to have lived and traveled all across Canada, finally settling in the beautiful Comox Valley. I studied fine art at the University of Toronto, Ontario College of Art and North Island College. My work includes paintings in watercolour and acrylics as well as mixed media “hand pulled” prints.
